Compared to all other types of transparent thermoplastics. acrylic has outstanding resistance to the damaging effects of sunlight and outdoor weathering. Most commercial acrylics have been UV stabilized for good weatherability and resistance to prolonged sunlight exposure. It has FDA approval.
